Tichy Ice Cream Parlor side entrance - avoid long lines!
Who doesn't love ot? The well-known ice apricot dumplings from Tichy in the 10th district. Too annoying that in the Tichy ice cream shop a long queue of ice cream hungry people forms and it becomes impossible to get through.
We have a Viennese insider tip for everyone who finds the waiting time too long: Right next door there is an unknown side entrance called "Palais de Glace". The same ice cream is served there and the famous ice apricot dumplings can be enjoyed either on site or to take away. This is definitely a secret place in Vienna worth knowing!
Champagne brunch – exclusive indulgence
An important occasion calls for an exclusive location, and the Palais Coburg offers that. The champagne brunch with exquisite delicacies and - as the name suggests - lots of champagne is the ideal setting for special celebrations.

Schönbrunn vineyard – in the middle of the countryside
An old tradition is rediscovered, viticulture in Schönbrunn Palace Park. At the time of Maria Theresa in the 18th century, there was a vineyard called "Liesenpfennig" in front of the orangery, directly in front of the summer palace of the Habsburgs. The place fell into oblivion until dedicated winegrowers replanted it in 2009. The tradition of the Viennese Mixed Set is continued and revived in this secret place in Vienna. You can buy the fine wine at an annual auction, the profit go to the SOS Children's Village.
Café Dorotheum – tradition on the 2nd floor
The traditional Viennese café Dorotheum is located in the middle of the city center, but since it on the 2. floow enthroned above Dorotheergasse, it is nevertheless one of the hidden places in Vienna. The magnificent interior is reminiscent of the Fin de Siècle in Vienna, when art, culture and science experienced their heyday. Intellectuals cavorted here and discussed explosive topics of their time - and this atmosphere still has an impact today.

MQ Libelle – enjoy the view
A real Viennese insider tip for the best view of the city is the Libelle in the Museum Quarter. Next to the entrance to the Leopold Museum is the elevator, which you can use to enjoy the terrace with a view over Vienna. From Leopoldsberg to Stephansdom the view is simply unique and worth a visit.
Our tip: If you don't want to consume anything, you can visit the terrace for free and marvel at the view. If you want, you can get a drink at the Libelle bar and enjoy it in the garden. A detour is especially worthwhile at sunset!
