You can feel the Christmas flair of a special kind against the royal backdrop of the Liechtenstein family palace. Around 25 exhibitors will inspire you with traditional local handicrafts, including the ideal Christmas present for your loved ones. This is Vienna's Christmas market, which takes you on a journey through time! As in a medieval market, jugglers, musicians, traders and craftsmen from bygone times await you. Not only the goods and stalls appear medieval, but also the traders are dressed in the style of the Middle Ages and thus round off your journey through time. Special highlights are the fire shows and fencing as well as possibly a Krampus run, which will be confirmed by the organizers.
A real insider tip is that the Military History Museum is open on the days of the event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. under the motto "War belongs in the museum" and admission is free.
Christmas in the „Böhmische Prater“, 1100 Vienna
In the Böhmische Prater, the cultural association invites you to the so-called Schlemmertreff - a treat for everyone who loves spicy punch and Christmas gingerbread, chestnuts and much more. What makes this Christmas market in Vienna's Bohemian Prater so special? All proceeds are donated to a good cause and thus benefit the homeless in favorites.
A real highlight at this Christmas market in Vienna are its guests and the supporting program: Kurt Elsasser will present his silver disc on December 15th and many other artists will be there to talk to the guests.
