Description

Schönbrunn Tour in a New Light - Exclusive Access to the Bergl Room

Our discovery tour begins in the exotic Bergl Room of the palace, where you will gain a fascinating insight into baroque garden art. Let yourself be enchanted by the opulent surroundings before we step out into the majestic garden complex. The artistically designed paths, magnificent fountains, and expansive meadows of the Schönbrunn Garden are not only a heritage of the past, but also a living testament to the deeply rooted representational art of the Habsburgs.

The Historic Vineyard - Tradition Meets Modernity

Another special highlight of our tour is the historic vineyard of Schönbrunn. During the time of Maria Theresa, there was the vineyard "Liesenpfennig", which extended in front of the orangery of the baroque palace. In the 18th century, joyful grape harvest festivals were celebrated here before the vineyard later made way for a bitter orange garden.

Today, this tradition has been revived thanks to the dedicated Viennese winemakers of the WienWein group, which includes well-known wineries such as Christ, Edlmoser, Wieninger, Cobenzl, Mayer am Pfarrplatz, and Fuhrgassl-Huber. Since 2009, the restored vineyard offers a modern interpretation of the "Wiener Gemischter Satz", where different grape varieties are grown and harvested together.

Schönbrunn Tour - Baroque Splendor and Historical Wine Culture

Let yourself be enchanted by the beauty and historical charm and enjoy a Schönbrunn tour that uniquely connects history, garden art, and wine culture. On this tour, you will not only immerse yourself in the fascinating world of baroque art, but also rediscover the tradition of the historic vineyard.
